Meet the president:

I’m Ralph Speas.    My passion in life is to train others for life and service. 

The opportunity to offer bi-vocational pastors, church staff members, and laity the training that will sharpen their skills is made possible through Meridian University of Biblical Training in Oklahoma and overseas. 

Currently, we are concentrating on offering accredited training toward an associate or bachelor’s degrees for students in the Tulsa and Oklahoma City areas.  In time, we hope to have classes all over the state.

Through a unique set of circumstances, the Lord extended to us the opportunity to train church leaders in Manipur , India .  They want us to equip their people to go as missionaries to surrounding countries such as Nepal , Bangladesh , Myanmar , and possibly China .  Because this is a highly restricted and dangerous area, our window of opportunity to serve there may be brief. 

My wife and I recently moved to the Tulsa area where we are accepting the faith challenge to develop Meridian into a respectable and effective instrument to equip those who may have lost the dream of completing college for financial, family, or distance reasons. 

I am pleased to announce that Oklahoma Baptist University has extended to us the opportunity to partner with the School of Christian Service and thus allow all courses taught by Meridian to be accredited and may be applied toward an accredited associate or bachelor’s degree.

We will be posting on this website the courses and location of classes in the near future.  Please contact us if you have an interest in teaching or becoming a student.  Faculty members must have a master’s degree from an approved seminary.
