Meridian is a 501(C)3 private non-profit religious institution of higher learning and relies on its donors to fund the operations of the school. Only ten dollars from every credit hour paid by students for tuition goes to Meridian University. The balance of tuition payments go to Oklahoma Baptist University and nearly all the tuition OBU receives goes to pay MTI faculty.

Meridian’s books received a full audit in 2006 by a reputable accounting firm and have operated in full compliance with its sponsoring entities to which the school is accountable for business, administrative, and financial practices. Meridian is not organized for pecuniary profit and no part of any earnings shall inure to the benefit of any individual including members of the corporation, officers, and board members.
